Buying NFL Football Tickets

The National Football League features 32 teams competing in the American Football Conference (AFC) and National Football Conference (NFC). Each conference contains four divisions: East, North, South, and West. NFL football tickets are available for preseason, regular-season, and postseason games, with ticket availability and prices varying by team, opponent, stadium, and game date.

Popular NFL matchups often include divisional rivalries, games between traditional competitors, primetime contests, and meetings between teams competing for playoff positioning. Games involving high-profile quarterbacks, championship contenders, and major rivalries can generate particularly strong ticket demand.

NFL fans can use the team carousels above to browse available football tickets for all 32 teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and other professional teams. Available listings may include home games, away games, and selected postseason events.

NFL Preseason and Regular-Season Tickets

NFL preseason games provide fans with opportunities to watch teams prepare for the regular season and evaluate returning players, rookies, and new additions. Preseason ticket prices may differ substantially from regular-season prices, depending on the teams, stadium, and demand.

During the NFL regular season, teams compete in divisional, conference, and interconference matchups. Home-game ticket prices may be influenced by the opponent, day of the week, kickoff time, standings, and anticipated attendance.

Fans planning to attend a particular matchup should compare available game dates and stadium seating sections. If your schedule is flexible, considering several home games may provide additional choices in both ticket availability and overall cost.

NFL Playoff, Conference Championship and Super Bowl Tickets

The NFL postseason includes Wild Card games, Divisional Round matchups, the AFC Championship, the NFC Championship, and the Super Bowl. Playoff tickets can attract significant demand because of the importance of each game and the limited number of available postseason matchups.

Ticket prices for playoff games may increase as teams advance toward the championship. Availability can also change when playoff participants, opponents, and hosting teams are confirmed.

Super Bowl tickets are among the most sought-after tickets in professional sports. Fans considering championship tickets should pay particular attention to the official game location, seating sections, seller terms, delivery arrangements, and final purchase price.

When purchasing tickets for a potential future playoff matchup, carefully review whether the listing is for a confirmed event or a conditional game that depends on a team's advancement. Marketplace policies for games that are not played may differ from those for confirmed events.

Buying College Football Tickets

College football brings together universities, regional rivalries, longstanding traditions, passionate student sections, and some of the largest stadium crowds in American sports. Ticket demand often reflects a university's football history, conference affiliation, opponent, team performance, and the importance of the scheduled game.

Fans can explore college football tickets for teams competing in conferences such as the Southeastern Conference (SEC), Big Ten, Big 12, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), American Conference, Mountain West, Mid-American Conference, Conference USA, Sun Belt, and Pac-12.

Conference membership and competition formats can change between seasons. Review the current schedule, participating teams, stadium, and official game information before purchasing college football tickets.

College Football Rivalry Games

Traditional college football rivalries are among the most anticipated games of the season. Historic matchups may involve neighboring universities, longstanding conference rivals, or nationally recognized programs.

Examples include Ohio State versus Michigan, Alabama versus Auburn, Oklahoma versus Texas, and Army versus Navy. These matchups can attract strong demand from students, alumni, traveling fans, and local supporters.

If you're planning to attend a major rivalry, consider reviewing ticket availability well before game day. High-demand rivalry tickets may become more expensive as inventory decreases, although resale prices can also fluctuate.

College Conference Championships, Bowl Games and Playoffs

The college football postseason features conference championship games, bowl games, and the College Football Playoff (CFP). These events provide opportunities to watch highly ranked teams compete for conference titles and national championship honors.

College Football Playoff ticket availability and pricing can change as participating teams, game locations, and matchups are determined. Fans planning to travel to postseason games should verify all event details before arranging transportation and accommodations.

When selecting postseason tickets, check whether the listing refers to a specific confirmed matchup, a future round, or a conditional event. Carefully review the marketplace's policies concerning changes, cancellations, and games that do not occur.

How to Choose the Best Football Stadium Seats

Selecting the right seats can significantly affect your football game experience. NFL and college stadiums offer different seating layouts, sightlines, amenities, and price ranges.

Sideline Seating: Seats along the sidelines generally provide excellent views of offensive and defensive formations. Seats near midfield can offer balanced views of both ends of the field, although prices may be higher.

End-Zone Seating: End-zone seats offer a close perspective on touchdowns, goal-line stands, and plays developing toward the end zone. Views of action at the opposite end of the stadium may be more limited.

Upper-Level Seating: Upper sections often provide panoramic views of the entire playing field and may be more affordable than comparable lower-level seats. These sections can be attractive to fans who enjoy following formations and the overall flow of the game.

Club and Premium Seating: Some stadiums offer club seats, suites, and premium sections with additional amenities. The features included with each ticket vary by stadium and listing, so confirm exactly what your purchase covers.

Accessible Seating: Stadiums provide designated accessible seating and related accommodations. Confirm accessibility features and companion-seat arrangements with the venue or ticket provider before purchasing.

Always review the applicable stadium seating chart, section number, row, seat information, and any obstructed-view disclosures before making a final selection.

What Determines Football Ticket Prices?

Football ticket prices vary considerably from game to game. NFL and college ticket prices may be influenced by several factors, including team popularity, opponent, game importance, stadium capacity, seating location, and available inventory.

Games involving championship contenders, traditional rivals, highly ranked college teams, or postseason implications may command premium prices. Weekend games, holiday matchups, and primetime events may also attract different levels of demand.

On secondary ticket marketplaces, individual sellers generally determine their asking prices. As a result, resale ticket prices may be above or below the ticket's original face value.

Compare multiple seating sections and evaluate the total checkout price, including applicable service fees, delivery charges, and other disclosed costs, rather than focusing only on an initially advertised price.

Can You Buy Tickets to Sold-Out Football Games?

Yes. Football games that are sold out through a team's primary ticket office may still have tickets available through the secondary ticketing market.

Resale marketplaces allow eligible ticket holders and other sellers to list tickets that were previously purchased. These listings may provide opportunities to find seats for sold-out NFL games, college rivalry matchups, conference championships, and postseason events.

However, resale availability is not guaranteed. Prices and inventory can change quickly, especially when demand is high or kickoff is approaching.

Before purchasing sold-out football tickets, confirm the exact game, participating teams, venue, date, seating details, and marketplace terms.

Finding Last-Minute NFL and College Football Tickets

Last-minute football tickets may become available when sellers list additional seats or adjust prices shortly before a scheduled game.

Depending on inventory and demand, ticket prices may decrease, remain relatively stable, or increase as kickoff approaches. Popular games, playoff matchups, and major rivalry contests may remain expensive even shortly before the event.

If purchasing tickets on game day, verify that the listing supports delivery in time for admission. Mobile ticket transfers, delivery deadlines, and stadium entry requirements deserve particular attention when buying close to kickoff.

Fans with flexible schedules may benefit from comparing several game dates, opponents, and seating sections before purchasing.

Football Ticket Delivery and Mobile Entry

Many professional and college football venues use mobile ticketing systems for stadium admission. Depending on the listing and venue, tickets may be delivered through electronic transfer, a supported mobile ticketing account, or another approved method.

Mobile ticket delivery times vary. Some tickets may be available soon after purchase, while others may be transferred closer to the game. Review the stated delivery method and expected delivery date before completing your order.

Check whether the stadium requires an official mobile application, rotating barcode, or another approved admission method. Screenshots and printed copies may not be accepted for entry.

Before leaving for the stadium, confirm that the tickets are accessible through the required platform and that you understand the venue's entry procedures.

Understanding the Football Ticket Resale Marketplace

The secondary ticketing market connects buyers with sellers offering tickets they previously acquired. Listings may come from individual ticket holders, professional resellers, and other eligible marketplace participants.

Resale marketplaces may feature tickets for regular-season games, rivalry matchups, sold-out events, postseason games, and championship competitions.

Unlike tickets purchased directly from a team or official box office, resale tickets are subject to the applicable marketplace's terms, seller conditions, and purchase protection policies.

Football Ticket Refunds, Cancellations and Buyer Protection

Before purchasing NFL or college football tickets, carefully review the ticket marketplace's refund, cancellation, postponement, and purchase protection policies.

A postponed game, canceled event, schedule change, or other unforeseen circumstance may affect the conditions of your ticket purchase. Applicable policies can differ depending on the marketplace, event status, and terms in effect when the order is placed.

Also review the marketplace's procedures for delayed delivery, invalid tickets, or other order-related concerns. Do not assume that resale tickets are refundable simply because your plans change.

Planning Your NFL or College Football Game Day

A successful football outing involves more than purchasing tickets. Stadium traffic, parking availability, security screening, weather, and venue entry procedures can affect your experience.

Check the stadium's official website for parking instructions, public transportation options, prohibited items, bag policies, and gate opening times.

Outdoor stadiums may experience rain, snow, wind, extreme heat, or cold temperatures. Consider seasonal weather conditions when selecting seating and preparing for the game.

College football fans should also consider campus traffic, tailgating restrictions, game-day road closures, and special transportation arrangements around major rivalry or championship games.

Verify the latest kickoff time shortly before traveling, because game schedules and television arrangements can occasionally change.

Tips for Finding Better Football Ticket Value

• Compare several seating sections rather than selecting the first available listing.
• Review different games or opponents if your schedule is flexible.
• Compare upper-level and lower-level seating to evaluate price differences.
• Examine the complete checkout price, including applicable fees.
• Review ticket availability at different times, while recognizing that prices may increase as well as decrease.
• Consider preseason or lower-demand regular-season matchups when comparing ticket options.
• Verify whether parking, hospitality, or premium amenities are included.
• Confirm ticket delivery methods and transfer requirements, especially for last-minute purchases.
• Read all applicable marketplace purchase and refund policies.
